Imam Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has appointed Major General Ali Abdollahi to the position of Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
The full text of the decree is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Major General Pilot Ali Abdollahi,
In light of the honorable, glorious martyrdom of Lieutenant General Martyr Sayyid Abdolrahim Mousavi at the hands of the Zionist-US enemy, and in consideration of your commendable service and valuable experience, I hereby appoint you as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
The following key objectives are expected to be fully realized:
1. Increasing the comprehensive, up-to-date defensive-security capabilities and readiness of the Armed Forces and the Basij [popular mobilization]
2. Preparing timely, revolutionary, effective responses to any level and type of conventional or modern threats — whether military, cognitive, or hybrid — against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran
3. Completing the process of integrating the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya (pbuh) Central Headquarters, in accordance with the strategy outlined by the martyred Imam (may God be pleased with him)
It is hoped that with divine grace and under the auspices of the prayers of our Master (may God hasten his reappearance), further success and victories will be attained by all the Armed Forces of the Islamic system.
